MY STORY

Hello, my name is Deanna, but most of you know me as Dea.

I've been in the piercing industry since 2012. I started off as an apprentice in Newbury at Cutthroat Tattoo. I did my own things for a while before coming back to Newbury, I then started working at Classic Markings for 2 and a 1/2 years, which I enjoyed and I built my clientele base up, some of you have been with me since my apprentice days and some have been with me since Classic Markings, I thank you!

I had 8 months off due to having a daughter, most of you remember that story and always ask how she is, which is amazing.

I'm now located at The Freakshow Tattoo with an amazing team. The only studio in West Berkshire to carry premium jewellery of implant grade titanium, fully internally threaded and threadless, also 14ct & 18ct gold in white, rose and yellow.

We stock jewellery from BVLA, LeRoi, Anatometal, Industrial Strength, Alchemy Adornment, Auris, Body Gems, NeoMetal, Tish Lyon, Sacred Symbols, Nature RebornUK and more.

My aim is to be part of the UKAPP/APP (Association of professional piercers) - the reason why I follow the organisation by heart is because they promote safe piercings, which is what we do! That's why we have first aid/cpr, bloodborne pathogen certificate, mill certified safe jewellery, and many other things too.

I've always been a fan of the body modification world since I was 12, at 13 I got my lip pierced - "snakebites" to be exact, then my lobes at 15, then after that it's been none stop of getting pierced, having tattoos and volunteering at body modification conventions.

I absolutely adore doing ear projects with beautiful jewellery, even if it's just basic jewellery or some from our premium range, it'll still be fun and beautiful! 

Challenging anatomy is fun, if you don't have the correct "shape" for a piercing then we can definitely work around that and do something else that looks just as great!
